    PCB Designer

Key Responsibility

Schematic Entry, PCB layout, and BOM generation per departmental standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 Years Experience with Schematic Capture and PCB Layout of high density / high speed, single, double, and multilayer boards.
  • Ability to work on complex designs with minimum supervision.
  • Experience with ORCAD Capture and Cadence Allegro preferred.
  • Experience with PADS PowerPCB, Altium Designer, ViewMaster and CAM350 a plus
  • Experience with AutoCAD or Solidworks a plus.

    Production Release Engineer

Key Responsibility

Support the Engineering department in generation and release of all engineering documentation and data through maintenance of Engineering Change and document / data release systems.

    Manufacturing Engineering Technician

Key Responsibility

Provide technical support to the manufacturing and engineering teams. Support a range of technical requirements including testing, assembly, soldering, process documentation, training, and debugging / problem solving

Specific Responsibilities

  • Complete job assignments in a manner that supports the Malibu Guiding Principles:
  • Technical product build: build / assist on highly technical product builds. May involve PCB assembly, wire / harness / cable building, mechanical packaging, software installation / configuration and functional testing.
  • Defining processes and procedures, creating documentation and validating effectiveness.
  • Clear and effective training of others on various processes and procedures.
  • Debugging and repair of electronic assemblies.
  • Electronic product testing.
  • Provide technical support for production, including interpreting assembly documentation and production standards.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of electronic technical knowledge and skills
  • Must have strong soldering experience – surface mount and fine pitch experience a plus
  • Ability to read and understand technical documents and schematics
  • Familiarity with electronic test equipment (oscilloscope, power supplies, load banks, etc.)
  • Linux experience a plus
  • Familiarity with box build assembly and cable / harness fabrication

    Material Control Coordinator

Key Responsibility

Ensure standard inventory control tasks are accomplished based on documented requirements. Communicate effectively across production, program management and purchasing to resolve issues and efficiently answer any questions.

Key Results

  • Timely and accurate counts and verification of materials provided to manufacturing.
  • Timely and appropriate communication within organization on material status.
  • Effective communication across buyers, program managers and production to resolve issues, problems and/or questions

Key Requirements

Communication skills both verbal & written. Knowledge of electronic materials and components. Some PC skills and experience in applicable shipping and material handling software.

Specific Responsibilities and Results

  • Communication to resolve issues: interface with buyers, program management and production personnel to resolve issues, problems and questions to keep production moving.
    Results: production flow maintained and issues resolved efficiently
  • Material Receiving: Verify material has been properly received.
    Results: Material properly received against purchase orders. Incoming purchased or consigned materials verified against proper criteria per procedure. Proper entry of material part numbers, lot codes, date codes and quantity in to ERP system. Proper inventory labels placed on material.
  • Finished Goods Receiving: Ensure proper utilization of ERP system and custom applications to receive finished goods.
    Results: Proper materials issued to shop orders. Material requirements of shop orders are fully satisfied. Proper material lots are issued to shop orders. Proper quantities of finished goods received in to ERP system. Proper inventory labels placed on material.

    Production Team Member

Key Responsibility

Perform a variety of tasks to support product build based on documented requirements. Meet all related quality, safety and productivity requirements defined by Malibu.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Complete job assignments in a manner that supports the Malibu Guiding Principles:
  • Perform daily job assignments according to approved documentation and the production manager.
  • Meet posted production schedule by providing input to the production manager.
  • Ensure “Shop Travelers” are reviewed for correctness prior to start of build. Shop Travelers are filled in completely and correctly and in detail prior to moving on to the next operation. Fill out build report form for any issues.
  • Ensure production equipment assigned is correct for the job and working properly.
  • Ensure the integrity of the lot tracking system is maintained by following proper scanning procedure at each operation.
  • Quality levels are met or exceeded.
  • Keep work areas neat and clean per 5S system. All safety requirements are followed.
  • Ensure proper ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) handling precautions are taken at all times.
  • Is ethical and a model employee

    Purchasing Agent

Key Responsibility

Manage purchase order placement, order tracking, supplier follow-up, and overall raw material inventory flow to ensure customer requirements are met.

Key Results

  • All materials properly ordered to specification.
  • Materials arrive on time to support production requirements.
  • Material cost is at or below established cost targets

Specific Responsibilities and Results

  • Materials Procurement: Purchasing of materials as required to meet production requirements. Utilization of the ERP system and planning tools to determine production requirements, issue purchase orders, and schedule materials delivery minimizing total cost of procurement.
    Results: Components purchased in a timely, effective manner. Materials arrive in time to be received, inspected, and issued for production use on the scheduled dates. Purchase orders issued with correct part numbers, pricing, delivery requirements, terms and shipping instructions. Shipping costs kept within acceptable margin for all jobs.
  • Material Cost Control: Development and implementation of systems to ensure all components are purchased at or below standard cost model, or exceptions noted and approved by appropriate personnel. Negotiation and implementation of cost reduction, value added services, and transport cost reduction plans with key vendors to reduce total cost of materials acquisition.
    Results: Material actual cost roll up for assemblies at or below standard cost. Standard cost deviation approvals documented.
  • Supplier Management / Development: Build strong relationships with suppliers to leverage their collective knowledge and abilities to further business objectives. Ability to get suppliers to expedite / push materials as necessary. Implement and maintain plans for consolidated buys, bonded inventories, or other methods to enable maximum flexibility in material acquisition.
    Results: Utilization of supplier programs to minimize risk, lead time, and cost for production materials. Developed base of trusted suppliers with capabilities across the entire spectrum of needed materials and services. Well-developed relationships with suppliers to maximize support / utilization of their value propositions to Malibu and our customers.
